There's a bit of a contrast when you brand your style as Beatlesque while also claiming the Americana genre.
But let's face it. The Beatles' invasion was so successful that it's a part of Americana now.
That's not something I want to admit to because those who know me know I blame them for putting consumers of music under their spell from one generation to the next.

But we're talking about Brady Harris' new EP 'Hotel In The Sky' which has no qualms to lean into the influence of "the fab four."

Here's the deal though, as soon as the opening title- track, "Hotel In The Sky," begins, those influences disappear and I no longer notice them anymore.
Brady Harris is so dapper with his arrangements, and the dynamics in his songwriting that the EP's Americana roots dig deep into your psyche.
This is clearly because Harris has absorbed the nutrition of European culture, after uprooting from Texas where he was born.
I visualize sunny California when I hear this EP, but I also visualize the artsy parts of Texas too.
For instance, "Parting Gift" has a Stevie Ray Vaughn feel to it which I sense because I'm an Oak Cliff boy, where Stevie is from.
Every track on this thing is stylish but not without substance as they all have uniquely strong hooks.
Another highlight of this album for me is "Economy of Sound", with that killer bassline, before the flats give it the kind of edge that keeps me locked in.
That's one of the things that make this E.P. one with repeat listens.
Honestly, I left this release on a loop and I never tire of it.
And then we get to the piano work with the swagger of the vocals on "Chateau Hill," which is hard to avoid.
