Through and through from the presentation to the music, it's Hot Topic all over again. Personally, I'm not a fan of the punk pop stuff like the first two opening tracks. I understand the demographic they're going for. The best thing I'll say about them is that they're short. Then we get to the better tracks, the ones that cover a broad spectrum of the craft of songwriting.
"Carolyne", "Strange Days", "Ghosted", "Stay", "Hollywood", "Chase The Moments" is a little more of a favorite among the poppier tracks because it relates to growing up. "Carry You Home" is a good ballad to throw it in among the better tracks, if only because Ross Ryan Edsall changes his singing style and it sounds more personal. At the end, the demo bonus track "Diagnosis" sticks when the album is over. I could mistakenly confuse it for The Bravery.
How does this album settle with you?
