plasmaDOGplasma,

Prendiville is one hell of a talent and has a hell of a lot of music under his own name. This guy is always working on something and so it's not a surprise that he would have something new. He says of this single:

The second "single" to promote plasmaDOGplasma's forthcoming album, IMPERIAL PHASE INVERSION.

"The Colour of Revolution", and I hope no one minds me saying, that the way it starts off, I'm reminded of Morrissey's "Bobby, Don't You Think They Know" track. Of course, it's more P.I.L. but it's more than that. and completely danceable. It's that sensibility that I like about Daniel Prendiville's work, where it's always edgy. This is pretty evident when he gets to that wavy glassy resonance halfway through the track. The lyrics tell us what various colours are associated with in their meanings but, delivering the vocals is pretty straightforward. When we get to "Accidental Sunset", it's more minimalism ambient work that, if it ends up on the full upcoming release of the album, would have to be a track that bridges one with another. Aside from this, it's good for just being a b-side. As Prendiville says, "The album is practically imminent. Please be patient..." This follows the first single "Dynasty" with it's b-side "Artificial Fanfare" from July of this year. Before that, plasmaDOGplasma released their 4-track EP Cartoon Physics.
