"What About You" is meant to make people think about the different sides of the story in a breakup. Almost everyone can remember an instance where they felt blamed for something their partner was guilty of as well. I wanted the production and the vibe of the song to compliment the lyric and set it up as an anthem for people going through goodbyes. The sentiment speaks to how all relationships are two-sided affairs and shifts the focus from blame to deeper reflection.
