George Santos: Trial Liar

George Santos: Trial Liar

Why Wouldn't George Santos Take A Plea Deal?

George Santos was forced to leave Congress last year due to a series of scandals fellow lawmakers were tired of dealing with.

Since leaving, he's faced 23 felony charges and two indictments brought by federal prosecutors.

Taking it from Trump's playbook, who is also facing multiple indictments, George Santos has pleaded not guilty to all 23, calling the case a "witch hunt".

Come Monday, however, the disgraced lawmaker is expected to enter a guilty plea before District Judge Joanna Seybert at a federal courthouse in Central Islip, New York. The plea deal he is expected to take to avoid trial.

Why wouldn't he take one?

He's the type of guy with a weak constitution who could be swayed one way or another, as long as it serves him.

Trial To Begin In September

It's been reported that if he were to be convicted in a trial, he could face a maximum of 20 years in prison.

During a pre-trial on Tuesday, Federal prosecutors asked the judge to allow them to enter the list of lies that Santos told when he campaigned. The defendant's lawyers also asked to keep a partially anonymous jury, claiming they could be harassed and threatened, and limit media access for unfavorable reporting.

It's said that while Santos has publicly defied these charges, his lawyers have been negotiating with federal prosecutors since December.

All of this results from lies uncovered after he won his seat, defrauding his constituents. Since entering the political scene, more of his lies were revealed creating a pressure cooker for his party, forcing his colleagues to step away from him.

Trolling Voters For Another Seat In Congress

Earlier this year, Santos declared that he was leaving the Republican Party and becoming an Independent.

Santos changed party affiliation after seeing the House pass a measure he disagreed with.

Pretty rich making the change because of lies and swindling their voter base, being that's the reason he's facing a trial.

He appears to have entered the race for another congressional seat but has since dropped out.

There’s a serious threat in our nation during this election cycle. Among them is Doug Mastriano a right-wing candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania.

Were it not for the momentum that Trump created to overturn the 2020 election, there could be very little hope for his MAGAts to build support for their campaigns for down-ballot positions that would guarantee them direct access to the electoral…
