Trump Immunity Limbo
Waiting for another shoe to drop has been what we've come to expect from news about Trump's charges. We can start anywhere because there are so many but to be brief, we have to start with the expectation that the Supreme Court would take up the case about Trump's immunity.
Since he left the White House, when charges against him started piling up, little did we expect that he would successfully stall the legal system. The real wrench in the gears was the declaration that he was immune from prosecution. This would generalize the bulk of charges against him and how they would be prosecuted. We know this because it delayed the hush-money trial against him and might have led to the dismissal of separate charges against him with secret documents.
Even without the status of being a former president, the guy is selfish enough to believe he can't be charged for anything.
This Thursday before his New Jersey golf course, Trump proclaimed:
“As you know, the Supreme Court ruled recently on immunity, and I’m immune from all of the stuff that they charged me with.”
Knowing that the Supreme Court's ruling is in vague limbo makes this statement frustrating, Knowing Donald Trump's type makes his statement even more frustrating because he's trolling his opposition.

Why Did The Supreme Court Initially Take Up Trump's Immunity Argument?
Again, the fact that the Supreme Court took this up is troubling. The only reason they took up this argument is because Trump earned some clout for being a US president. This is confirmed thanks to Special Prosecutor Jack Smith when December 11, 2023, he suggested the Supreme Court take up the argument. In hindsight, this seems to have backfired on Smith where we're now in this difficult moment. Yes, it makes sense why he had to do it. He was confident that Trump would lose his fight for immunity and we could proceed in getting rid of this historical pain-in-the-ass.
There's also the fact that there is nothing good about Trump or his presidency. The only reason he's successfully able to throw his weight around is because he has loyalists throughout the system waiting for his return. We know that the Supreme Court has been compromised. We know that at least one of the judges he assigned handling one of his cases, is a Trump loyalist.
