Chicago-based artist, Leon Frear, released his "Secret Second Moon" single. The track is off of his full-length Wild Rice release.
In reading the lyrics and watching the video, I can only gather that the person he's telling a story about is in his head and perhaps, only shows up at night. That there's a connection to the moon is what tells me that.
Rather than get too into the weeds with those details, the lyrics paint an abstract picture but, that, they paint is what matters.
This character taking the form of an animal, doing human things, points to a nocturnal lifestyle and it could be a narration of a dream. Going to bars that are still open late into the night. Driving down mysterious streets. Climbing up endless ladders that give you vertigo and chased by the slice, or several slices of a moon?

This music video for "Secret Second Moon" is animated by Ronald Grandpey. Grandpey has been posting his animations online for a while now but one thing I can say is that he has submitted some work for Adult Swim, videos that you can find on his site.
All of them are dream-like.
