ALWAYS YOU was written by Denise Dimin for me based on her observations of me on stage with my partner (who is also my guitarist and musical director) and my relationship with my audiences. The song examines that, as a performer, I have an onstage persona that leads to audience expectations. But no matter the challenges of being in the limelight, ALWAYS YOU always swing back to the rock-steady consistency and devotion of our relationship. A beautiful song, for me the lyrical content speaks of my love affair with the stage and the essence of what it is to me being onstage with him, as we balance the delicate emotions that exist within our space. But, always remember that no matter the audience or attention, it is ALWAYS YOU that captures and holds my heart!
