During an appearance on Face The Nation on Sunday, President Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, found more reasons to delay a possible Trump interview with Robert Mueller. When asked about the interview, Giuliani blamed the hearing with former FBI agent Peter Strzok, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, former Trump fixer Michael Cohen's audio recordings of Donald Trump and special prosecutor Robert Mueller being too busy with the Paul Manafort trial.

With regards to Manafort, Giuliani said that he didn't hold it against Mueller that they had a lot going on with his trial. Giuliani said that they had an offer for the interview and mentioned there were restrictions that his team "would have to live with," but that Mueller's team had not responded to them in a week and ten days. Margaret Brennan reminded Giuliani of when he last promised when he would expect the interview to take place, and failing to come through. Giuliani said that a lot happens on July 4th.
